Alchemist Prompt
I think that the journey was more important to Santiago than the destination because throughout his journey he learned lessons and matured. He learned that he should follow his heart and not always do what people want him to do, how do be responsible and smart, and find his treasure in the end of the story. Also, getting to his destination wasn't an easy task, therefore it made the prize at the end so much better. If getting to the treasure was a quick and simple trip, the treasure wouldn't be all that important. The journey seems to be more important but without one you can't have the other. I think both of them were important but maybe the journey is more important. Because without the treasure, which was his destination, there wouldn't be a reason for him to keep going along his journey.
